Pushkar Singh Dhami is an Indian politician and the 10th and current Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. He represents the Champawat Assembly constituency in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. He was sworn in as the Chief Minister on 3 July 2021, after the resignation of Tirath Singh Rawat. He became the youngest Chief Minister of Uttarakhand at the age of 45.

Dhami was born on 16 September 1975 in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. He graduated from the University of Lucknow with a degree in law. He started his political career in 2002 by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected to the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in 2012 from the Khatima constituency. He was re-elected to the assembly in 2017.

In 2021, Dhami was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttarakhand under Tirath Singh Rawat. He became the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in July 2021 after Rawat’s resignation. Dhami lost his seat in the 2022 assembly elections but was re-elected as Chief Minister by BJP MLAs. Since its creation, he has been the only Chief Minister of the state to assume a second consecutive term as CM.

Dhami is a popular leader in Uttarakhand. He is known for his simplicity and down-to-earth attitude. He is also known for his strong commitment to the development of Uttarakhand.

धामी का जन्म 16 सितंबर 1975 को उत्तराखंड के पिथौरागढ़ जिले में हुआ था। उन्होंने लखनऊ विश्वविद्यालय से कानून की डिग्री प्राप्त की। उन्होंने 2002 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) में शामिल होकर अपने राजनीतिक जीवन की शुरुआत की। वह 2012 में खटीमा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से उत्तराखंड विधान सभा के लिए चुने गए थे। वह 2017 में विधानसभा के लिए फिर से चुने गए।

2021 में, धामी को तीरथ सिंह रावत के अधीन उत्तराखंड के उपमुख्यमंत्री के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था। उन्होंने जुलाई 2021 में रावत के इस्तीफे के बाद उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री बने। धामी ने 2022 के विधानसभा चुनावों में अपनी सीट खो दी, लेकिन भाजपा विधायकों द्वारा मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में फिर से चुने गए। वह राज्य के गठन के बाद से मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में लगातार दूसरी बार मुख्यमंत्री बनने वाले एकमात्र मुख्यमंत्री हैं।
