The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in India is a proposed law that would replace the personal laws based on the scriptures and customs of each major religious community in the country with a common set governing every citizen. It would cover matters such as marriage, divorce, inheritance, adoption and maintenance. The law would provide for one law for the entire country, applicable to all religious communities in their personal matters such as marriage, divorce, inheritance, adoption etc.
भारत में यूनिफॉर्म सिविल कोड (यूसीसी) एक प्रस्तावित कानून है जो देश में हर मुख्य धर्म समुदाय के शास्त्रों और रीति-रिवाजों पर आधारित व्यक्तिगत कानूनों को एक समान सेट से बदलने का प्रस्ताव है। इसमें विवाह, तलाक, वसीयत, गोद-लेना और रख-रखाव जैसे मुद्दों को कवर किया जाएगा। कानून पूरे देश के लिए एक ही कानून प्रदान करेगा, समस्त धर्म समुदायों के लिए लागू होगा।
